Rain check anyone?

Who knows what a rain check is? I'm sure a lot of people know what it is and what it is used for, but how many people actually take advantage of it?  When you get a rain check on an item, you are getting a piece of paper from a store employee stating that they are currently out of that product but when it comes back into stock, most likely after the sale is over, you are able to use this slip of paper to receive the item for the sale price it had previously been. How great is that?
So if you had a coupon before to use with the item, as long as it's still good, you can still use it. Who knows though, maybe over the time period you had to wait for the item to be in stock again, a new coupon was released getting you a better deal with the item. and that's okay. Use it!  Take advantage of the great deal that fell into your lap.
there aren't many disadvantages to rain checks besides the fact that the coupon you might have had for that product has expired. Here's the thing about rain checks though, you aren't obligated to get them. It wasn't a special order you placed. It was merely a piece of paper saying, "hey, when this item comes back on our shelves, if you still want it, here is the price you can pay." So don't think you have to get the item just because you got a rain check.
