I have decided to start a blog site for people. How many will actually view my page, I do not know, but I feel that there aren't really any blogs that keep up with us little town Iowa people who don't have a CVS, RiteAid, Safeway or Kroger or any of those other really awesome stores that every other state seems to have. At this point in the year, there aren't a whole lot of freebies or overage products, they actually don't really seem to appear till about June/July right before the new school year is to begin. That's probably my favorite time of year too because I can score a whole year's worth of school supplies for less than $10!
The things that I will be posting with be a lot of deals that you will be able to ad match at Wal-mart, but I will also post things about good deals you can score at our local fareway or hyvee.
A nice thing about OC fareway is that Micah allows his customers to price match to the Sioux Center Hyvee as well as the LeMars Fareway. The only catch is that he requires you to have the ad along, which is totally fine because if you aren't lying about the deal then it's not really a big hassle to take advantage of it. Also, like any other price matching qualifications, you must meet the exact requirements of the products being purchased. For example, if Hyvee has a sale on Doritos cooler ranch, 12 oz bag, you must purchase exactly a bag of Doritos cooler ranch in the 12 oz size bag. If Fareway doesn't carry that size, I guess sucks to be you, or you can go to Hyvee and get them. Never try to screw over your local grocery store though because one person could ruin it for everyone.
When going to Wal-Mart, prices matching couldn't be easier. Here is a copy of Wal-Mart's ad match guarantee. Also here is their coupon policy.
The best idea with these is to print them off and carry them with you
whenever you go to Wal-mart because there will always be, at one point
or another, one of the cashiers who have no idea what their own store
policy even is, so you will want to be able to take it out and read it
to them, word for word when it comes to overage and cash back. They tend
to listen then. :D
